A borescope survey uses a specialist camera to inspect concealed areas of a building, such as cavity walls and floor voids, without unnecessary disruption. This allows us to identify hidden moisture, defects, or construction issues that may be contributing to damp problems.

It provides valuable evidence and helps ensure accurate diagnosis before any remedial work is considered.

The Process

Our methodology of carrying out a spot check to the walls of your cavity ensures that minimal intrusion is caused.

Step 1:

Before any drilling takes place, a non-intrusive survey must be carried out. This allows us to accurately identify areas of concern and determine exactly where inspection points are required, ensuring a targeted and minimal-impact approach.

Step 2:

Using the findings from the initial survey, we carry out the borescope inspection. Small, discreet access holes (typically 10–12mm) are drilled through the mortar joints to allow internal inspection of cavities, structures, or concealed elements using specialist camera equipment.

Following the inspection, our findings are carefully analysed and documented. The borescope results are incorporated into a clear, detailed report, presented alongside the original non-intrusive survey, providing a complete and informed overview of the property condition.
