Tresaith's coastal position and steeply rising landscape create a distinctive environment for buildings, where exposure, ground levels and rainwater movement can all influence patterns of dampness.
Properties exposed to prevailing coastal weather can experience repeated wind-driven rain against walls, roofs, chimneys, windows and other external junctions. Defects that may remain relatively minor in sheltered locations can become more significant where the building fabric is regularly exposed to driving rain.
